PAMELA J. SAMAHA, LCSW, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Ms. Samaha has over thirty years of experience in the mental health field. She is the founder and executive director of The Child and Family Institute of Fairfield County. She provides individual, family, marital and group therapy. Her approach to treating clients is to provide the skills needed to assist patients in living healthy and productive lives. Ms. Samaha approaches every individual from a strength-based perception and empowers them to create positive changes in their lives.

TAMMI CHELEDNIK, LPC

 

Tammi Chelednik has over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. She earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling from Western Connecticut State University. Tammi also received a license in professional counseling (LPC). Her previous career experiences include domestic violence, sexual assault and eating disorders. Tammi has been treating children, adolescents and their families at The Child and Family Institute for almost 20 years.


Tammi’s areas of expertise include gender dysphoria, behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, family dysfunction and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. She is also a proud LGBTQ+ ally and specializes in coordination of care with her transgender clients through their transition journey. Tammi provides advocacy and liaison work with schools/colleges, community agencies, and other medical providers to ensure the best overall care for her clients. Tammi provides individual, group and family therapy. 





 



SAMANTHA HUMPHREY, LMSW

Samantha Humphrey received her Master of Social Work degree from Lehman College. Ms. Humphrey utilizes skills and techniques she has acquired through her many years working in the mental health community specializing in depression, anxiety, and chronic mental health diagnoses. She provides individual, group and family therapy, using evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.


 "I believe the therapeutic process begins with a trusting relationship. My goal as a clinician is to provide a safe and caring environment for those I'm working with to feel comfortable and able to express their thoughts, feelings and emotions to begin their healing". 


 

 

AMANDA BOCCARDI, LMSW

Amanda Boccardi received her Master of Social Work degree from Adelphi University and has been working in the mental health field since 2015. Ms. Boccardi has served children and families in different capacities, including work with individuals, groups, schools, and community organization and advocacy. 

 

Ms. Boccardi emphasizes an individualized person-centered approach, with the belief that each person is unique, and their experiences are their own. With this belief, Ms. Boccardi strives to create an environment which fosters safety, trust, empowerment and healing. 

 

Ms. Boccardi is an LGBTQ+ ally, supporting and encouraging all people to embrace their identity. Ms. Boccardi utilizes techniques specific to the needs of those she is serving, including play therapy, expressive arts, DBT, CBT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and meditation, holistic approaches, and trauma-informed care.
